Nico Zimmermann, Project Manager

“For me, the customer always comes first”

Nico Zimmermann heads large, complex projects at Bosch Energy and Building Solutions. He deals with customers, suppliers and staff, ensuring that everything is done properly and on schedule.

Mr. Zimmermann, what excites you day after day?

I greatly enjoy identifying and implementing appropriate solutions to meet our customers’ needs. It takes teamwork to accomplish this.

Our projects bring together a lot of people for performing a wide range of tasks: employees of customers, suppliers and subcontractors, and naturally our own staff. Working and communicating with all of them is a highly rewarding activity. And when a customer is happy with the end result, it’s an even better feeling!

How do you make your customers happy?

I see myself as a partner and problem solver, and make sure that the customer always takes center stage. A major part of my work is developing and implementing technical solutions to meet their wishes. But that isn’t all; other aspects also matter. For example, I greatly value dependability and conscientious, intensive communication. These are vital ingredients for successful, constructive collaboration and mutual trust.

"Intelligent controls can boost efficiency and reduce costs."

What benefits do you see as a result of increased networking?

Better support across the board. The intelligent buildings of the future deliver all of the data that are needed to optimally run systems.

Intelligent controllers optimize and, if appropriate, automate processes and equipment. This can boost efficiency while slashing costs. It also results in greater energy efficiency while helping to protect the environment and climate.
